Design Inspiration

Please meet Edward Michael Rodgers – EMR for short. He is a mischievous and inquisitive character from the ‘Other World’ who now attends De Aston School. At De Aston School we challenged all of our artists in years 7-13 to submit a design concept based on their response to storytelling, myths, legends and discovery. The aim was to create something ‘visually interesting’ for our imp.

Our final design is an amalgamation of work by students Kelly Chen, Brooke Turner and Abigail Phillipson. We feel it represents our values of creativity, imagination and passion for ‘Art’. These values are something which we as an art department and the school as a whole hold central to our
hearts.

We would like to thank North Notts and Lincs Community Rail Partnership and East Midlands Railway for their support of this project, without which we would have been unable to participate.
