Lincoln IMP Trail Auction

Lincoln IMP Trail Auction

The Lincoln IMP Trail Auction will take place at Lincoln Cathedral on 1st October 2021.

Don’t miss your opportunity to say bye bye to the Imps.

The IMPs are the talk of the town! They have featured in tweets, snapped-in scores of selfies but the 31 stars of the Lincoln IMP Trail are not going to go quietly! The exciting trail, which is proving to be a major attraction during the ever-changing landscape of Government guidelines, is far from over and we want more people to be part of the IMP story.

For those shopping trips with children why not visit the IMP Hub at the Waterside Shopping Centre, which is open Thursday – Saturday every week until 4 September. There are lots of IMP related activities! Trail maps and the free app will guide you around the main trail and education imps with the opportunity to complete the competitions and collect rewards.

Trail maps and merchandise are available from the Visitor Information Centre, Castle Square 7-days a week and the Imp Hub (Thursday – Saturday only).

As part of the Lincolnshire Day celebrations on Friday 1 October 2021, the IMP Trail Auction will take place at Lincoln Cathedral, where they will be sold by professional auctioneer, Ian Walter from JH Walter.

Tickets for the auction, priced £15, are on sale now:

Sarah Loftus, Chief Executive of Lincoln BIG said

“Proceeds from this event will go to support the fantastic work of St Barnabas Hospice. We hope that local businesses, organisations and individuals will be interested in bidding for the Imps and that some will find a permanent home in the city.”

Veronica McBain, Head of Fundraising and Lottery said

“As the charity partner, the proceeds from the Trail will go directly to ensuring St Barnabas Hospice can continue to support the people of Lincolnshire with life-limiting or terminal illnesses. Due to the disruption caused by the pandemic these funds are even more crucial to us so we can be there for people when they need us. The Imp Trail has been a major project to be involved in and we are so proud of what has been achieved so far but the auction is where the significant funds will be raised. It’s a night not to missed so please do join us where we will be bidding farewell to the colourful characters who have brightened up the streets and made people smile once again this summer as we emerge from the pandemic.”
