The Lincoln IMP Trail Education Programme
IMPlement the IMP into your school to IMPact the curriculum!
The Lincoln IMP Trail Education Programme will see a trail of over 50 IMP sculptures designed and decorated by the county’s schools, complemented by an education pack, created by our team of school leaders, teachers and educationalists to help education settings demonstrate Ofsted’s Intent IMPlementation and IMPact framework.
You may be familiar with the previous sculpture trails that have taken place in Lincolnshire and the IMPact they had. Did you know that in 2017, 43 schools took part in The EBP’s Knights’ Trail Education Programme, over 8,000 children and young people were involved in the learning programme and the trail attracted over a quarter of a million people to Lincoln!
We are pleased to let you know that to complement what promises to be one of the county’s cultural highlights of the year, our Lincoln IMP Trail Education Pack will include direct links to Ofsted’s Intent, IMPlementation and IMPact framework and the National Curriculum across multiple subject areas. In the pack, you will have access to a comprehensive range of lesson plans and activities for EYFS through to Key Stage 4 and above, plus a range of fun competitions with an educational link. These have been designed in partnership with businesses and community groups and include an IMP dance, stay tuned to our social media channels to see more soon!
All of the resources and activities that we have created for primary, secondary and special educational needs schools will allow you to link your participation in this exciting programme to existing frameworks and priorities. We have also incorporated activities to enhance the IMP Trail for children and young people with additional needs and the programme will have an overarching theme of visual storytelling. Schools will also have the opportunity to take part in an inter-school performing arts challenge to showcase the story of their IMP.
27 of the IMPS have been reserved by schools already so early booking is advised to guarantee a place on the programme.
• The cost to take part in the programme is £849 (+VAT where applicable).
• Schools will receive a half sized (approx. 100cm tall) IMP sculpture to design, decorate and keep at the end of the programme.
• Education sculptures will be displayed in indoor locations throughout Lincoln city centre.
• The sculpture and education pack will be available from January 2020.
• In previous years, some schools have funded their participation though in-school fundraising activities or sponsorship from a local business.
